About the Firm

Scott is an experienced and effective attorney specializing in insurance law. He serves clients primarily in Oregon but also serves individuals in Washington, Idaho, and beyond. Scott is an advocate for individuals and their families who are navigating through a turbulent and often traumatic experience in resolving insurance claims. Scott prides himself on delivering straightforward options to empower clients as they work through disputes with their insurance company.  

Scott and Brenda value their deep-rooted ties to Eugene, Oregon and proudly support FOOD for Lane County, Eugene Mission, American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, and various recreational programs for kids.

Since 1974 Scott has appeared for clients in many state and federal courts. As a general law practitioner for over 20 years, he has seen about everything at least once. For the last 20 years, Scott narrowed his professional focus to claims against insurance companies. You can be sure of calm, tested, and trusted advice when confronted with legal adversity.  

Outside the office, Scott is well-respected within the legal community. He is a member of the Oregon State Bar, United States District Court for the District of Oregon, US Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, US Claims Court, and the Multnomah Bar Association 

In his free time, Scott appreciates all University of Oregon team sports, spending time with his children and grandchildren, and traveling with his Legal Assistant and wife of 20 years, Brenda.

Brenda Taylor
Office Manager + Legal Assistant

Brenda is the firm’s full-time office manager and legal assistant. She keeps the office and all clients’ files organized and secure in a paperless environment. Brenda’s 20+ years of management experience transferred fluently to the practice and is essential to helping her clients get through the claim process with any insurance company.  

When Brenda is not working, she is likely gardening in the backyard, watching football with a glass of wine, or spending time with Scott and their 6 grandchildren.
